SLAB GRINDING
Our specialization includes the grinding of slabs, blooms, billets, sheet bars, ingots, etc., achieving the correct quality of surface finish to meet your specifications. Our capabilities include hot grinding at temperatures up to 1,000° F, 45° grinding angle and your choice of wheel grit.

Whether rolling or forging, semi-finished steel and alloys often require surface grinding to eliminate defects or unwanted material. Grinding is a preferred method over other surface -treatment procedures due to gains in quality and utility costs. Even in other areas of steel treatment, grinding is often preferred over other surface-treatment procedures.

TORCH CUTTING
Evertz torch-cutting (longitudinal and traversial division) uses machines specially designed for this purpose. Evertz torch-cutting systems guarantee extremely clean torch cuts and minimal consumption. The rectangularity of the slabs after the torch cutting is guaranteed by modern computer numerical control systems, even with beveled discarded slabs. This also ensures that handling costs are kept to a minimum.

In process, finishing shop, or custom application can all be accommodated though our systems and development.
SERVICES
ROUNDS GRINDING
Evertz Technology Service has the ability to machine grind rounds to a high quality finished surface.

Round products from 6" to 16" diameter with a maximum length of 20' are currently processed at our Middletown facility. Additional sizes can be accommodated to suit your needs.
BILLET GRINDING
To ensure high surface quality billet grinding is achieved, Evertz Technology Service offers the following:

ABOUT
Evertz Technology Service-USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Evertz Group based in Soligen, Germany. Evertz Technology Service began operation at it's Middletown, Ohio location in August of 2002. Since our start up, we have ground more than 1.6 million tons of slabs.

All of our machinery is designed and manufactured by The Evertz Group to meet the needs of our customers. We combine the know-how of a grinding machine manufacturer with the experience of a grinding service provider.
​
Our facility houses two overhead cranes, with 40 and 45 ton capacities and the ability to handle varying shapes and sizes of products.
​
Products can be heated, prior to grinding, within our 40' reheat furnace at temperatures up to 1,000°F.
